Liberation is in the collective care and work of us all! Which is exactly why Cumbia de la Minga is your opportunity to meet like minded people, dance, and put some work into local mutual aid efforts.
Cover fee is $10 to $20 per person, or we’ll accept a summer gear donation in lieu of cover fee (for example, cases of water bottles, sunscreen bottles, hats, sunglasses, fresh long sleeves). Arrive early to join some 3v3 futbol as well! Link to sign up for a game is in the bio.
Throughout the night, medics will lead a heat casualty training and guide participants through packing wound care kits. We’ll even conduct a Know Your Rights/ counter ICE training so yall can skill up while you get down!
Material donations and med kits will be distributed to local unhoused residents of the area, while monetary donations will cover some of the med kit supplies, the DJs, and local comrades’ legal defense funds.
This event will be mostly outdoors. We encourage people to wear masks while participating in indoor activities.
