Pieces with the RIS bros on the Long Island railroad tracks, 1994. A much simpler time…Rocking out with the then new Rustoleum American Accent and Heritage cans. At the time them cans were top shelf. All new flavors with the satin finish. One of the last pieces I did before my 12 year hiatus. This piece eventually ended up in Marc Ecko’s Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure. Ket hooked that up. 🤜🏽🤛🏽 I remember coming back from Iraq and Ket calling me talking bout, I got a job for you. I was like, I gotta job. He’s like, I need you to do a piece for a video game. I’m like psssss. I’m aiiight. Then he said, it pays two Gs. I went straight to nearest art store and copped 80 dollars worth of Design 2 markers, drew up the piece and mailed it. Only way to get it to him. Back in 03, only ballers and nerds had computers and scanners with AOL, MCI Worldcom, or EarthLink on the dial up tip. Hard to believe them pieces were done 32 years ago and the video game is over 20. That’s nuts. They never did use that sketch after all and I never played the game. Still in the original package.
