Instalacja by Dominika Badyla @d0m4v [ENG below] Jakie jest znaczenie działania w kontekście systemów społecznych? Technika dźwięku z Łukaszem Morozem i Tymonem Kolubińskim. Wydruki 3D z Toke Nielsenem ____ What is the meaning of action in the context of social systems? Is saying words an act of self-expression rather than an attempt to communicate? When the machine keeps running no matter what we say, the only appropriate expression is play. Each card contains one word, recorded directly onto magnetic stripe with repurposed bank card readers. You can hear it by swiping with specific speed from right to left. Presented work is a part of a research on diy analog tapes recording. Read more on the artist's website. Sound technique with Łukasz Moroz and Tymon Kolubiński. 3D prints with Toke Nielsen.

🎊 Anaïs Lossouarn is this year’s winner of the iii Encouragement Opportunity, awarded now for the fifth time to a fresh graduate of the @royalacademyofart.thehague @anaislossouarn ’s tactile and sound installation ‘DE CŒUR EN CHOEURS [Hearts in Chorus | From heart to heart]’ stood out according to the jury by ‘being accessible and direct, yet layered with subtlety and complexity’. Anaïs is invited for a four week residency at iii workspace, including an artist fee and a production budget. We have great trust in Anaïs’s ability to navigate unpredictability with confidence. The jury would also like to give an honorary mention to Dominika Badyla @d0m4v for her playful, skilful and engaging approach with her work ‘Cards against the machine’, which the jury describes as ‘a duet of whimsical gibberish’. Jury Gabey Tjon a Tham (iii member, artist), Camilla Colombo (curator, researcher, Artistic Director of Ohme), Elena Apostolovski (iii Hosted Program Coordinator, curator and writer). @gabeytjonatham @camilla.colombo @eapostolovski Read the full report on our website 🔼 Photographs by Ines Kukrić @ines_kukric and Stills from a video by Michał Kucharski @michal_kucharski_

I'm graduating : )) Pictured magnetic stripe cards recorded with analog and digital methods, treated with iron oxide to visualize the data. Come see what I did with them this weekend 4-7.07 at KABK The Hague.

Adolescence - once the subject is freed from surrender, it enters a stage of violent power negotiation with the environment and with the self. This program showcases expressions of those conflicts through music and performance art.

🔜 Media Measures: POINT 07.03.2025 Doors | 19:30 Time | 20:00 - 22:00 at iii workspace, The Hague Does a point make a sound? Following the success of Circle Methods in 2024, we’re excited to present Media Measures: POINT — an event where a dancer moves between points of tension, time unfolds through falling nails, and electronic tap shoe beats fill the space. Media Measures invites curious listeners from any discipline to explore sound art through a new lens. This journey, shaped by geometry, opens up unusual sonic experiences. KIM KHAN blends electronic music, synths, vocals, and tap shoes, using tapping rhythms to seek stability in the noise. In Conner Chew’s Only My Head Is Left To Slide Around, we’ll create a shared choreography, exploring connections between performer, viewer, and space. Puck Wacki’s installation Ticking Shadows reimagines Western ideas of time, with an instrument balancing the present moment and anticipation. Tomorrow!🚨: Circle Methods Date: Friday, 08.11.2024 Time: 19:30 (Doors) | 20:00 (Event) Location: iii workspace, The Hague with dj sniff, Alper Çekinmez and Gin Kimpark Circle Methods explores circular motion used within artistic practices. Featuring turntable improvisation, a kinetic sculpture resembling a gyroscope and an audiovisual installation playing with time’s non-linearity, this event highlights the shape that changed human history. Nature cycles through seasons and days. Wheels spin and melodies repeat, encapsulated on perfectly round vinyl records. This all is reworked and replayed during dj sniff’s turnable improvisation. Moving in a circle seemingly doesn’t lead forward. However, by disrupting the repetition cycle and reinventing the direction, Alper Çekinmez’s new kinetic device ‘Aerotrim’ suggests otherwise. Gin Kimpark with her work ‘No Swaying, Nothing Happens 2’, focuses on the disruption of repetitiveness in the context of non-linearity of time and its subjective perception, worked into a tangible audiovisual installation. @dj_sniff @alper.cekinmez @gin.kimpark Dominika Badyla and Kristijonas Groblys are a curator duo that met at the intersection of funk and functionality. Combining their practices ranging from music production to electronics design, they bring together classical methods with fresh points of view. @d0m4v @kristijonas893 More info and tickets via link in bio ⏫️ This event is presented by iii with financial support from Creative Industries Fund NL and The Municipality of The Hague. @stimuleringsfonds @gemeentedenhaag #technology #circle #motion #direction #loop #movement #kineticsculpture #repetition #audiovisual #installation #artscience #art #creative #thehaguehotspots #social #iii #sound performance #multidisciplinary

The one on the left is a medical grade screw used to fix bones together. Since it was taken out of my body I copied it dozens of times and gave away to family and friends. DM to get your own 🦴💌

This is a modular complex system. Fostering collaboration fun game and a decorative object, or a lamp. Done from scratch by me, based on a circuit with diy magnetic connectors and some electronics behind it.
