What happens when you gather a bunch of Zelda Brainworms together to hike 2.5m up a mountain to film a cosplay cinematic? Entirely normal things, of course 🧍‍♂️ This was the most exhausting and beautiful experience of my 2025. Everyone involved put their blood, sweat, and tears into creating something that would, hopefully, transcend us. I think that together, we accomplished that. These people filled my cup creatively and emotionally; it still runneth over. Breath of the Wild | Cinematic Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary In the summer of 2025 we hiked to a waterfall and spent two days filming and shooting this cinematic love letter to this series we all love so much. A lot of sweat and tears went into this project and I could not be more happy about the outcome. We battled weird nature elements, our own bodies and emotions, broken gear + carts all to make art. Each person on this project truly put their soul into this and reminded me why I love video and film so much. ��I could gush for hours about each person but that isn’t what this is about. They know how much I love them. BUT a special thanks to Eliza, Matt and Appy for being such amazing help. Truly could not have done this without those behind the camera with me, those watching out for me and our actors. I cannot express what it means to me to have help to make art. This winter, I actually live somewhere that's very snowy! So before the snow melts, I had to post from my shoot last January with @amiephotos 🩵 It's still seasonally accurate! 🌨 Hopefully next year I can finally put together Zelda's winter coat from the BOTW DLC ❄️ but considering how silly life is, by the time I finally make it, I'll probably be living somewhere that doesn't get snow. 😅 Ah well! If 2024 taught me to let go and lose, then 2025 taught me to get up and live. Life continues to humble me as it's pupil, and honestly? I'm beginning to like the shape it’s molding me into. I’m overwhelmed with emotion - to have so much love and to have gone on so many adventures, with friends like these? I can’t overstate how fucking grateful I am to be alive. I know hard times aren’t over… but I finally believe I can weather the storm. “The lower I would go was catapulting my ascension.” Back when I first heard these lyrics; what would she think of me now? I wish I could tell her how precious her life will become in just a few short years. To let her know we did ascend.
