Legs are sore — signs of a weekend well spent in Vermont. And nothing says iconic birthday like turning 6 and crushing double black diamonds while you’re at it. ⛷️🥳. HBD Jamesey. Ended with Libbie’s very specific post-ski requirements (acting tiny spa director), a mandatory hot tub soak. 10/10 leadership.
We loved being a part of Surf Point’s Community Day #11 in York Harbor last weekend! 🌞 Community Days bring people together to experience Surf Point’s incredible landscape and facility and learn something new. The free events raise awareness and donations to support for the residency program, land stewardship, public programs, and legacy programs. 🌊
Attendees got to hear from Surf Point director Yael Reinharz, New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) @newartdealers director Heather Hubbs, and the NADA Gallerists in Residence, Lauren Marinaro of @marinarogallery , Alex Nazari of @gattopardo.la , and Nicoletta Pollara of Night Gallery in Los Angeles.
In Surf Point’s Wild Knoll Foundation Garden, we got up close with the gorgeous installation by Baltimore-based artist Phaan Howng, curated by Carly Glovinski. 💖 Howng’s work (pictured above!) explores the entanglements between nature and human industry, with vibrant, post-apocalyptic landscapes where plants (re)take center stage.💥🌿
What a day - thank you, @surfpoint.me ! (Follow them for announcements about future Community Days and other events!)
