This weekend I participated in all 3 days of the @riostradaracing Golden State Race Series.
Friday started with an Individual Time Trial where I was able to muster a 4th place on the day and 4th in general classification. Although 4th place was good enough to reward me with a call up for Saturday Criterium where I was able to get some sprinter jersey points. In the end I fumbled the finish and got 12th. I polished off the weekend at the circuit race on Sunday. I was apart of a 4 man breakaway that went to the finish. I was able to come in 🥈 on the day, 🥈 in the general classification and 🥇 in the sprinters jersey.

I guess if I post the highs I should post the lows.
Last weekend at Land Park Crit I was caught up in a crash on the last lap final corner. I was in a line of riders moving up on the outside and the guy in front of me slid out. I had to bunny hop over him and over a curb where I landed nose heavy sending me over the bars. I landed and rolled/slid through grass (soft 🥰)
In the process of the crash I ended up shearing my derailleur hanger (pictured)
All is well and the bike and I live to fight another day.

Good weekend of racing in the big 209.
Started the weekend at the Snelling Road race where a late game (2.3miles from the finish) calf cramp and going wide though a corner requiring me to bog deep in the shoulder and get back on the road dropped me from the chase group. I got swallowed up by the peloton and managed 11th of 22.
Sunday’s Merced Crit went a lot better. I managed to get in a break with 2 other riders. We were able to stick the breakaway it to the line. I was able to get the best of the other 2 riders and place 1st of 22.
All and all a great weekend, looking forward to more racing

Last weekend was spent at Stafford Lake racing the last @norcalcrushercup race of the 2025 series. I was finally able to piece together a good race and land myself on the top step of the podium for Cat2 Male 19-34.
This course was totally different than what I’m used to riding. A lot of off camber loose corners followed by a legit bike park with berms and jumps. No tech riding like in Bidwell Park meant I had to adapt and learn to ride the course on the fly.
Thank you to @seabrightphotography for the photos. And thank you to @norcalcrushercup for putting on an amazing series this year. I’m already looking forward to next year.
