We’ve had lots of questions about when the Markin-MacPhail Westside Legacy Trail will be swept - thank you for your patience. Westside Road is scheduled to be swept by the end of this week, and the trail will follow shortly after, courtesy of the Regional District of East Kootenay. We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we get ready for another great season on the trail. #cvgreenways #springcleanup #columbiavalley #getoutside #kootenaylife

Old Coach Trail Important Reminders for Spring Use: Trail Conditions: Be prepared for varying conditions, including mud, ice, and soft ground. Wear appropriate footwear and consider using traction devices if needed. Protect the Trail: When the ground is too soft, please avoid using the trail to prevent erosion and damage. Your cooperation helps maintain the trail’s integrity for future use. Respect the Environment: Be mindful of sensitive habitats and wildlife that may be more active during this time. Keep pets on a leash and avoid disturbing natural areas.

June 1 was #bctrailsday, It was also the day we launched our new membership program and had an open house down on the Markin-Macphail West Side Legacy Trail. Despite the blustery weather, we had a handful of people show up, sign up and show their support for what we do here at Greenways. Thanks to everyone for their support. We will be drawing names for prizes this week, so stay tuned.
