I partnered with @customspacesbydylan@thecontainerstore to create “One of One,” a gallery-style exhibit showcasing our one-of-a-kind garments inside a few custom closet systems.
A closet system tailored to showcase your taste and lifestyle will instantly elevate how you perceive your clothing. When your closet feels like a gallery where your clothes are the art, you can have more pride in each piece and how it symbolizes you!
Experiencing this space in-person just makes me want to get lost digging through crates of vinyl records and jamming out to some certified bangers of the past.

Installing an Elfa design is like an adult LEGO set, not a jigsaw puzzle. When every detail is accounted for upfront, everything after is seamless. That’s why I designed and self-installed an Elfa closet for my new home đźŹ
Instead of solving problems mid-install,
you’re simply executing a system that already works, with instructions guiding you through every step.

The demo and install of this whole closet took under 2 hours! As your designer, my goal isn’t just to “build something that fits” but to create something that functions effortlessly over time with the flexibility to adapt to your ever-changing lifestyle.
Here’s what I learned from helping a friend install a competitor’s system.
Standardized and modular, it’s a very accessible option at a relatively low price point. That’s why they bought it without hesitation.
But what most people don’t realize is how much still needs to get figured out - the number of decisions that are not yet made.
How do you account for walls that aren’t perfectly straight? How do you get the desk at the exact right height? How do you get it flush wall-to-wall or floor-to-ceiling? How do you fix mistakes in real time?
You can absolutely make it work. But the tradeoff is time, effort, and flexibility during the process. I design spaces like this for a living and it still took 3+ days to figure out the layout, build the pieces, install everything, and trim it out. Worth the savings?
You may think that organizing the garage is more of a “Phase 3” kind of project when you’re moving, but I say it’s a “Top 3” priority - here’s why:
Your garage is the foundation for how everything inside the house stays organized. It’s a storage room for overflow items from nearly every interior room, along with the tools and other miscellaneous things that live in the garage.
During my move, I installed my Elfa garage system first so every bin already had a place when it came in. No towers of unpacked boxes and buried essentials, just efficient storage as soon as we start unpacking.
The bonus here is that I did this entire solution reusing parts from the old Elfa garage system. No extra cost, just a new plan to fit a new space and new needs.

The system is permanent, but the feeling of the room can still change drastically depending on how you style it.
When it comes to setting the tone of a space, the built-ins are essentially your canvas, and your decor does the heavy lifting.
To get a better sense of all the possibilities, I used AI to show me how this wall bed system looks when it’s staged to different popular design styles. This is a great way to find inspiration and visualize it in your exact space before you start putting it all together.
