Actor, comedian, and improviser @andrewphung  sits down with Customatic TV to talk about the documentary Degrassi: Whatever It Takes and why the series meant so much to an entire generation of Canadians. We dive into the cultural ripple effect of @degrassi  the way it reflected real lives on screen, and why stories like this matter. Beyond the documentary, Andrew opens up about his own acting journey, betting on himself, and how a role like Kimchee came after he had already put in his 10,000 hours. We also talk about what @tiff_net  represents not just for him, but for his peers. For the full conversation head over to customatic.tv

When we talk about comedy editing, there is a craft to making it hit just as hard on screen as it did on set. We got to chat with TV & Film Editor Jordan Hayles @jordan.a.hayles and editor on @theofficemovers season 2. He broke down his process as someone who lives in the timeline. It’s instinct. It’s feel. It’s knowing when to lean into an actor’s reaction, when to let a beat breathe, and when to tighten it so the joke hits. Comedy is built in the in-betweens the glances, the pauses, the unwritten moments the performance reveals. It’s storytelling. It’s rhythm. And Jordan does a great job at it! @theofficemovers Season 2 is streaming now on @cravecanada

At the @reelworld film festival premiere of It Comes In Waves, actor and executive producer Franckie Francois @franckiefrancois spoke about the importance of creating safe spaces on and off set. Especially after embodying stories with so much emotional weight. Franckie reflected on how the cast looked out for one another, ensuring that what was carried in character could be gently shed once the cameras stopped. A reminder that storytelling isn’t just about performance, it’s about protection, connection, and care for the people behind the roles.
