I absolutely adore Jacksonville.
When I accepted the Jaguars seasonal assistant position, I was incredibly nervous to move from Kansas sight unseen and begin a new chapter of my photographic journey. I remember all the chaotic thoughts that raced through my mind as I drove back to Jacksonville from Peach Jam. I didn’t know it at the time, but I quickly discovered that I was exactly where I needed to be.
Kam and Chris are wonderful mentors that showed me not just how to execute NFL-level imagery on the field, but how to behave off it. They challenged me to swing for the fences and allowed me to learn from my mistakes when I fell short of perfection. They taught me the value of TEAM. I learned that the best part of a NFL game day is not what I create individually, but what the group accomplishes as a whole. I am forever grateful for their friendship.
Speaking of friends, UGH I miss all of them SO MUCH !! Now, it’s time for baseball season. I’m fired up to learn from two unbelievably talented photographers, Evan and Rankin, this season with the Houston Astros. THE SHOW ? Pinch me ! I’m so thankful that Evan and Rankin are making this boyhood dream come true. But the grind is just beginning. 0 down, 162 to go. Yayaaa !
P.S. I miss the MEC cafeteria so bad it’s actually not funny …
