The Ghost Voltage album is released today. You can download it from cursedmurphy.bandcamp.com (direct link in bio). I'm proud of this work and grateful to my collaborators for their intense commitment to the material. The experience felt less like a recording session than a seance. I've lived with these recordings for six months now and am relieved and excited to finally share them. We look forward to performing the work for you, as well as presenting the exhibition and accompanying book on October 4th at Wexford Arts Centre.

‘All You Sons of Thunder’/’Rage of All Creation’ is the latest in a series of split-singles initiated by songwriter, producer and musician Johnny Fox, collaborating on this occasion with long-time stage and studio sparring partner Cursed Murphy, aka novelist, poet and vocalist Peter Murphy.
Peter wrote the words for both songs, Johnny set them to music and handled the recording and instrumentation, with a little help from @bascillian and @lorcan__byrne from @basciville on ‘All You Sons of Thunder’. Lead vocal duties are split equally.
Johnny sings ‘All You Sons of Thunder’, which takes its cue from 1960s garage psych-folk, Dylan and the Beatles. Peter wrote the lyric under the influence of Elaine Pagels’ book ‘Revelations’, Natalie Diaz’s poem ‘Of Course She Looked Back’ and the Coptic text ‘The Thunder, Perfect Mind’.
The six-minute ‘Rage of All Creation’, featuring Peter on vocals, marries the lyrical influence of Dylan’s ‘Hard Rain’ and ‘Series of Dreams’ to a Lou Reed monotone and My Bloody Valentine’s dreamily apocalyptic drones.
This double A-side single is available on Bandcamp now (link in bio) and all other streaming platforms, except Spotify, from this Friday, September 5.

Thank you Fuddlefest for hosting Cursed Murphy - the Musical as a work in progress. What an amazing independent festival crew. Thanks also to Sasha Bratkova for the photos. We've had enormous fun previewing material from this show at various festivals over the summer. Now it's time to return to the studio to finesse the final act and ready for a full production premiere in 2026. But stay tuned: there are more Cursed Murphy related projects in the pipeline, coming very soon.
