Anglerfish costume, origin unknown.
Deep-sea anglerfish attract prey using glowing lures that dangle in front of their mouths. Smaller fish are drawn to the illumination, then sucked up into their wide mouths lined with needle sharp teeth. Chomp.

‘But Even So’ poetry book by Kenneth Patchen, 1968. Full of truly beautiful illustrations! “Come now / my child, / if we were planning / to harm you, do you think / we’d be lurking here / beside the path / in the very darkest / part of / the forest?”
‘Untitled, 1982-83’ by Tee A. Corinne. Silver gelatin print.
Corinne set out to create queer erotica that represented and substantiated her community. The solarisation of the images was an overt attempt at subverting the male gaze. Thus obscuring the erotic images and yet still staying true to her intention of documentation.
‘Untitled (Claude Cahun in Le Mysteère d’Adam)’ by Claude Cuhun and Marcel Moore, 1929. “Masculine? Féminine? It depends on the situation. Neuter is the only gender that always suits me.” - Cuhun

Sanguinetti photographed Beli and Guille, two young girls living in a rural province south of Buenos Aires throughput their lifelong friendship. “Beli and Guille were always running, climbing, chasing chickens and rabbits. Sometimes I’d take their picture just so they’d leave me alone and stop scaring the animals away, but mostly I would shoo them out of the frame. I was indifferent to them until the summer of 1999, when I found myself spending almost everyday with them. They were nine and ten years old then, and one day, instead of asking them to move aside, I let them stay.”
