scorp-sag celebrations last week—what a gift to turn 30 with people who have known (and held) me since the 10s (alternate caption is that I got to be a Woman of Leisure™ while they worked, showed up with one book and left with nine, and said, "I'm putting on soft pants" more times than I can count.)
꼭 다시 만나자~ (being able to spend the last month in korea after fifteen years away has felt like such a weird wonderful alternate timeline moment but as I visited the final resting places of loved ones and ate apples from my uncle's orchard, I couldn't stop thinking of how Palestinians are not able to bury and mourn their loved ones and how they have not been able to harvest their olives or strawberries in peace. hoping the new year brings liberation for all of us ♡)
