I made a video based on some prose I wrote back in April. i always write prose/lyrics first, which turn into songs + films later on. i’ve decided a substack would be a good place to put all these words in, before they take another form !

We came up with the idea to have an older version of me in parallel with a younger, lighter version of me, and how the older me is trying to find her way back to the younger me. It’s the closest thing that I have to going back in time and talking to my younger self. Hopefully through this video, you can also find and reclaim any pieces of a younger ‘you’ :’)

I’ve been suuuper neurotic working on this overdue release because it feels like people would be peering into a hole thru my skull into my brain and know exactly what I’ve been struggling with.
it’s a song about someone talking to their younger self, and telling them sorry for all the things they couldn’t become.

a lot of work has been done on this, and even tho it’s not representative of my abilities now, it captured how lil celine felt a year and a half ago. i wrote this first as an apology, then rewrote it when i realized I shouldn’t be sorry for wanting to feel comfortable in my own environment. thanks everyone for all the love <3
