Cocktail Week in Seattle has officially come to an end—and what better way to experience it for the first time than at Carnival of Cocktails. A four-story cocktail experience filled with tastings, out of the box activations, prizes, and great energy from start to finish. I enjoyed every conversation, every brand I had the chance to learn more about, and of course…the impromptu line dance. This was a new experience for me, but definitely one I won’t be leaving off the calendar again. Special thanks to @wwconverge for the passes and @seattlecocktailweek for the experience. Looking forward to next year. What’s your go to cocktail ? #CarnivalOfCocktails #SeattleCocktailWeek #CocktailCulture #SipAboutIt #SeattleEvents

Recap from recent visit @werisewines with the team ! As I got to dive in to my sommelier bag for a moment 🍷🥂 Special s/o to @life_designedbyashleigh for the invite and opportunity to taste this 4 course spread and wine paring. And to @meelasea , Chef @helmsdm82 and we rise staff for providing Top Tier Vibes , Eats and Hospitality ✨ Be on the lookout for @life_designedbyashleigh and The Sanctuary Blog Feature covering this experience and then some 💯 Photos By ~ @kalligraphy45 Culinary Spread By ~ Chef Dane @helmsdm82 Vin de choix ~ Cabernet Sauvignon by @kumushawines 🥇🍷 Dishes ~ Dish 1 ~ Burrata He took the skin and wrap it around the curve for totally different texture. He served it on top of Kalamata olives, sun dried tomatoes. Dish 2 ~ Seared Pork Belly on top of Collard Greens. Having spent many years in Georgia the chef when cooking he reduced the pot liquor down, added some more brown sugar, a little bit of spice, and then use that as a glaze over the top of the pork. Wine recommendations for the pork belly: Something that’s going to be more high acid, because that’s going to cut through that fat layer Dish 3 ~ Potatoes Inspired by the standard Seattle Jojos. Because their kitchen isn’t equipped with a fryer, so the chef used the new technique, scattered chickpea flour, which is gluten free that way, so the flour locked a lot of the moisture, and that gave us slightly kind of fried texture, chickpea flour. Toped with a spicy red sauce Dish 4 ~ Vegetarian entree, The idea was from Spanish paella. Everyone knows the best part of paella is the crusty part on the bottom. So we sear the bottom and flip it to the top Desserts ~ Chef Dane describes the first dessert consisting of toast, brigaderos with vanilla whipped cream and red wine reduction, Following that with a peanut butter cookies, strawberry rhubarb, and vanilla ice cream made in-house. #WWConverge #WeriseWine #TheSancutuary #SpecialGuest #Sommelier

Friday night was a celebration of creativity and intention! 🎨🖤💯 Pulled up to support my guy Jabari (@i.b.o.m.s ) at his art showcase and the room was filled with energy, conversation, and powerful pieces that spoke without saying a word. Seeing artists step fully into their craft and share their perspective with the world is always something special. From the canvas to the community in the room … it was a reminder that Seattle’s creative scene is alive, evolving, and full of storytellers. Salute to Jabari and @madespaceseattle for opening the doors to his vision. More life to the art. 🖤 #SeattleArt #FromFLtoSea #IBOMS #ArtShowcase #SupportArtists

When I walked into Smith Tower last week for South Seattle’s own and Warner Records R&B artist Jaymin’s listening party for his new EP “Sweet Nothings,” I didn’t quite know what to expect… but I left with an experience I didn’t even realize I needed. From the elevated vibe (literally and figuratively 😅) to the intentionality behind the music, the energy, and even the people who filled the room — it felt curated with purpose. This wasn’t just a listening party. It was a statement. It was an honor to sit down with @jaymindemaris and talk about the heart behind “Sweet Nothings” — the stories, the growth, and what this debut project represents for him as an artist coming out of South Seattle. Read more about my conversation with Jaymin at whereweconverge.com, and run the streams up — “Sweet Nothings” is out now on all platforms. Follow @jaymindemaris , support the movement, and be on the lookout for when he’s in a city near you. 📸 by @shootermcgavin206 @mcgavinmedia #ConvergeMusic #SweetNothings #SeattleRNB #Jaymin

Did someone say Bloody Mary? Fresh off their five-year anniversary, Communion Restaurant & Bar (@communionseattle ) in Seattle’s Central District welcomed our own Curtis Delgardo II (@cuddythasensei ), aka Cuddy, to try Chef Damon Bomar’s (@dameparle ) house-made Bloody Mary with all the fixings. While Delgardo famously was not a fan of Bloody Marys on a recent episode of “Almost The Weekend!,” he was up for the challenge to push his palette to new heights. Bomar, who said Bloody Marys are their favorite drink, laid out the ingredients to his personal recipe, including Worcestershire sauce, fresh lemon juice, house-made pickle brine used for green beans, horseradish, kosher salt, Tabasco, and Chef Kristi Brown’s (@thatbrowngirlcooks ) spice blend. The drink is also made with celery salt, extra black pepper, and tomato juice. Bomar described the drink as spicy, briny, and salty, with "funk" from the horseradish and acidity from the lemon juice. The Bloody Mary is garnished with pickled okra, pickled green beans, and a Seattle's Best Olberto pepperoni stick. For the taster, he made the drink with tequila, noting that any clear liquor, such as mezcal or vodka, can be used in its place. While Delgardo couldn’t handle the Bloody Mary in its full glory 😂, he praised it for the punchy flavor and presentation. Try the Bloody Mary today and every Sunday at Communion for brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. You can also stop by Communion Wednesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Communion Restaurant & Bar 2350 E Union St, Seattle (206) 806-1916 munionseattle.com #WWConverge #AlmostTheWeekend #Communion #BloodyMary #SupportBlackBusiness

#ConvergeMediaPresents - We’ve recently had the opportunity to expand our storytelling into Seattle’s cannabis culture, thanks to producer and cannabis enthusiast Curtis Delgado II, aka Cuddy (@cuddythasensei ). Tapping into his own expertise, Cuddy visited a private loft in Interbay for an infused Game Night hosted by LUVN Social Club (@luvnsociallife ). As Cuddy made clear, the atmosphere felt like home, creating a truly intentional space where good food, flower, and fellowship converge. The fusion of gourmet cannabis cuisine, community, and friendly competition was made possible thanks to owner of LUVN Kitchn Chef Unika (@heyunika ) and her partnership with Leon Verrett from Magnus Premium (@magnuspremium ) and Seattle Sluggers. While the community came together over games, LUVN Kitchn (@luvnkitchn ) served up cannabis-infused pizzas and side salads with an infused herb dressing. The heart of LUVN Social Club’s mission lies in increasing accessibility within the local cannabis event scene. Chef Unika saw the event as a continuation of her "Fellowship" philosophy: bringing like-minded individuals together for the common cause of good food, good community, and good cannabis. Learn more about LUVN Kitchn at luvnkitchn.com and follow @luvnsociallife for updates on upcoming events. #WWConverge #SupportBlackBusiness #LUVNKitchn #CuddyThaSensei #Cannabis
