Let me just say I wouldn’t wish this past week on anyone.
Mike and I were polar opposites, different, yet we were one and the same. He was everything I wasn’t, and I was everything He wasn’t. To say our family has a strong bond would be an understatement; we made the same journey here from back home - alone to discover this nation we now call home. We shared the same pain and the same hardships, yet we still dominated this new world together. We have the same blood, shared the same wins, shared the same conflicts, and as a family, we overcame them. In good, as well as bad times, Mike was always there to listen to me and still, to this day, the only person I would ever listen to. When I was wrong, he was there, when I was right, he was there. Mike supported me in any way he could, and always stirred me in the right direction. He was always there for me to talk it out. As kids, life didn’t offer us much opportunity, but it was Mike who made me believe and see what God had given us. Together as a family, we achieved our childhood dreams and gave our future versions more than our parents were able to give us. I can’t begin to express what he meant to me. What he meant to us.
In Life and After, You Complete Us.
To my Brother, The Journey we began will never end. We will fulfill what we started with dignity and strength.
Rest Well...
We got the rest.
