THANK YOU AGAIN LONDON, ONTARIO!!! What a blast! Thanks to everyone who came out last night and supported the CTO documentary!! Once again, we are completely floored by the love and support of the community in this city!! Pretty amazing to see how many people CTO brings together, and what amazing people. Hundreds of familiar faces and priceless stories abound, could have spent many more hours talking to everyone, but like all good times, the night flew by. Another incredible turnout, complete with bands that absolutely killed it! Huge thanks to all the bands last night, we loved watching them all - October Crisis’ ripper of a set, Burnt Reynolds’ grooves and moves, and the Terminal F’N Wallys kicking ass! Thanks Shiraz for making it sound as rock-solid as always. Thank you Marty and Palasad Socialbowl for doing a fantastic job and providing an excellent venue for the event (and stocking the right amount of 50)! And a massive thank you to Tony Lima for giving us all something amazing to celebrate in this city. Tomorrow night at @socialbowlldn is the CTO Documentary Benefit Last Call. Big thanks to everyone who has supported this event. Last year we were blown away by the generosity of @jeremybruneelillustrator , who donated the proceeds of two original paintings to the project. Jeremy used to do hand-painted posters for CTO, and the two incredible paintings were of a Daniel Romano show, and a Supersuckers show. Thank you again Jeremy, your support was an enormous help to the production of this documentary. This year, painter Bill Stephens has very generously donated a framed painting of CTO. The framed painting will be raffled off, and there will also be prints available for sale, with proceeds going toward the project. Also available at the event will be prints of the CTO building by longtime London painter, Darryn Rae (@raeart1 ). Darryn is also kindly donating proceeds of print sales to the documentary. And last but certainly not least, Paul Woods, a close friend of Tom Hilborn, has graciously donated an original Tom Hilborn painting for one lucky person to win. For those who didn’t know Tom, Tom painted upstairs at CTO for many years, and was a staple around the place. He passed away last year, and there will be a memorial for him at Palasad Socialbowl on September 21st. Many thanks to Paul Woods for donating this piece. We’re very grateful to have an original Hilborn at the event. Huge thanks to the generosity of Jeremy, Paul, Bill, and Darryn, for their support of this film, and to all the people who bought a ticket to the benefits.
