Connecticut State Historian Andy Horowitz spoke at Mark Twain House & Museum about why America’s 250th anniversary matters both nationally and here in Connecticut. Horowitz said the anniversary is a chance for people to reflect on the country’s history, how the American Revolution shaped Connecticut, and what citizenship and community mean today.
“It’s a time to consider who we are, how we got here," he said.

Jill joined The Connecticut Forum stage on Friday night, alongside fellow Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Jon Meacham.

What a wonderful afternoon in Bushnell Park on Tuesday! Thank you to ctforum for joining us for a special Encore program with a Highlights Tour, complete with visits to the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Arch, the Bushnell Park Carousel, and an incredible walk through the park with the Hartford City Foresters.
