Connecticut State Historian Andy Horowitz spoke at Mark Twain House & Museum about why America’s 250th anniversary matters both nationally and here in Connecticut. Horowitz said the anniversary is a chance for people to reflect on the country’s history, how the American Revolution shaped Connecticut, and what citizenship and community mean today. “It’s a time to consider who we are, how we got here," he said. Learn more about America 250 at ct250.org.

Bushnell Park was showing off today! We had so much fun partnering with @bushnell_park for a park tour and info session on a perfect spring day. (Peep those cherry blossoms in full bloom!) This Forum Encore! event followed our recent Future of the Environment Forum, giving us a chance to step outside and experience the beauty of the park firsthand. Huge thanks to the Bushnell Park Conservancy tour guides and the City of Hartford Forestry experts for highlighting the park history, architecture, and beautiful trees. (And for running the carousel so we could take a spin!)
