Turns out, it sounds good haha. I’m really stunned by the quality of midjourney’s “CG anime” outputs. Atlas Wright & The Map of the World is a story that was first planted in my psyche at 16 years old. Some things have remained, others have been filtered away as clarity and cohesion emerged. What’s most remarkable to me is that its essence is fundamentally the same flame of the initial spark of that blossomed in my imagination. It’s a story that has evolved with me. I discover new parts of myself and my worldview and the narrative grows both deeper and wider, turning poetic and metaphysical ideas into crystallized narrative elements and characters which mirror and transmute fundamental aspects of the human psyche and soul. It’s a story of alchemy, archetypes, and my personal questions about the nature of reality and our relationship with God. 10 years ago, I wrote a little short children’s story called “Little Louis Bear and the High Honey Sun”. 10 years later, I’m seeing how I can bring this story to life in ways I never imaged would be possible on my own. Loving experimenting with these more long form ideas, so you’ll see more of that from me in the future. I was a little bit lax with the character consistency in this one, but honestly the tools are all there. Really excited to see where this takes me.

Midjourney video is instantly my favorite video model. The character consistency and 3D structural integrity are BONKERS. VEO 3 obviously has the edge on audio and dialogue, but honestly these generations are so visually satisfying to me that it’s easily my favorite video model. The style and intent of the frame is so much more preserved than other tools without needing to prompt super specifically just to make sure it gets the mood and style memo.

Share your thoughts below 👇 Ilistened to a podcast with #daviddeutsch on @cosmicskeptic podcast and had some further reflections about the implications of an idea he presented that I had never heard before— that the primary cognitive directive which motivates us is the acquisition and comprehension of information. It’s obvious when you think about it, but it clicked so many other ideas l’ve been rolling around right into place. This is not a declaration. It’s an observation of something. And a suggestion we might benefit from creating language to observe these higher dimensional conceptual “entities” which manifest and operate through us both consciously and otherwise. That sounds more wacky than I mean it to be, I just think that any system which organizes around an objective and attempts to maintain homeostasis is kinda eerily similar to a life-form, so do with that what you will. Oh and take my use of “gods” here loosely. This doesn’t encapsulate my spiritual beliefs, it’s a useful way to communicate the reason ancient deities emerge from primal urges and became shared icons of vital concepts once we were able to prise them from unconsciousness.
