Whenever I am cleaning and organizing I uncover things like this unused sticker from about 1985, and all I can ask myself is "why do I still have this?"
I had two of the used Tellarite makeup appliances I made for Trek in the Park years ago kicking around in a box, so I assembled shadow box displays for them. I will hang one around here somewhere. Not sure what I will do with the other.

The youngest went as a Headcrab Zombie from the video game Half-life. I made the headcrab in record time out of foam clay from Michael's. It's like sculpting with marshmallows.
I bought a 1977 Dick Smith "King of the Gorillas" makeup kit to add to the collection. Clearly a "Planet of the Apes" inspired set.
I tried to talk my youngest into letting me apply the makeup to him, but he wanted no part of it, so I scanned him and applied the makeup to a 3d print of his head using latex pulls from the molds instead of the traditional gelatin the kit would have come with.
Also, the kit was packed with two right brow molds, so I scanned one and printed a mirror to make a left brow mold.
Finally, there is a faux fur cowl with the kit, however, I did not want to cut up the vintage one, so I had @hahamer cut and sew a new one out of some scrap material I had. She is the fur expert around here.

It may be 96° in Portland today, but fortunately it's only 79° in my shop. It's the wonders of good insulation and shade. There is no AC in this building.
