AJDC (March 2026) - people!
This year's
@afrojamdancecamp just feels different, and it's definitely because of the people I’ve spent it with🥹 Quite a lengthy read, but this edition was reflective and expansive, and I’m just truly grateful for this entire experience. I also got to take photos with some of the people I shared energy with! (still wish I took more)
@afropilipinas — you guys are etched in my heart. This entire experience wouldn’t have been as fun and memorable without you guys. Never a dull moment, even when exhaustion had the best of us after a looong day. It was an honor and a pleasure performing with you guys, and I would gladly do it again in a heartbeat🙂↕️
@afrocebu — only four of us went for this edition, but it felt like everyone was there with the thought of us collectively mentioning the others whenever we learn something new or even remember something randomly. I feel at home with you guys in the community, and I’m honored to have shared this moment once again with you🥹
To kuya
@tristan.laput and kuya
@kojoph , thank you so much for being the best community leaders ever. I will never get tired of expressing how grateful I am for how expansive you both are as leaders. The Afrodance scene in Cebu wouldn’t be as vibrant without u guys🥹❤️🔥
To
@3na2ro and
@yourlologab , I don’t think I would be here without you guys being my gateway back in 2023. You’ve done so much for the community, and I am grateful and honored to have danced and learned from you both🙌
To
@lorraineveloso , I can’t believe we’re here! From ABDT to UN, and now with Afro Cebu and Afro P, we’re still learning and growing🥹 I consider you my first “coach” in ABDT, and I’m honored that we’ve nurtured this friendship beyond our alma mater and previous groups🥹
Super excited for the next edition! Hopefully the universe aligns once again and it allows me to experience this whole journey again with this bunch🫶
