We’re especially proud to share that Jose Ramirez II, a student from the Palm Desert Campus, has been named JHBC’s Outstanding Undergraduate Student for 2025–26! 👏
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, student parent and information systems and technology major with a cybersecurity concentration, Jose exemplifies leadership both inside and outside the classroom. As president of the Ford Fellows chapter at the Palm Desert Campus and a participant in the City of Palm Desert’s Emerging Leaders program, he continues to make a meaningful impact in his community.
Jose credits his success to the support and challenges provided by his professors.
“My professors have played a huge role in my journey,” he said, noting how their guidance pushed him to think critically and stay curious in a rapidly evolving field. The recognition, he added, represents not only his own effort, but the collective support of mentors and peers. “It’s a reminder that stepping up, getting involved and staying committed truly makes a difference.”
His advice to fellow students? Stay involved, keep learning and support one another. 💙
