Section affected: Eighth Street to Abrams Drive, Marina
Dates: April 30 – August 2026
Hours: Weekdays, 8:30 AM – 7 PM
Restriction: No eastbound traffic (one-way closure)
Detour: Via Eighth St & Imjin Pkwy
Exception: No closures during CSUMB finals week (May 11–15)

Our inspiration comes from the landscapes that make this place feel like home: coastal farmlands, quiet horizon lines, and the calm depth of underwater forests. That translates inside to a palette of deep ocean blues + blue-grays, soft sky tones, coastal greens, and sandy neutrals, grounded with warm wood + tactile textures.
Construction hasn’t started yet, but we’re sharing updates along the way so our followers can stay in-the-know as the project takes shape. 👀✨

Meet your CSUMB Facilities BSE team. Our incredible Building Service Engineers have been hard at work removing a corroded plate heat exchanger from the mechanical room to improve system efficiency and safety. This vital equipment helps regulate building temperature by transferring heat between fluids—essential for keeping our campus facilities running smoothly and sustainably.
From isolating and disassembling the piping system to carefully extracting and inspecting the unit, this job takes technical know-how, teamwork, and a whole lot of grit.
Big thanks to our BSEs for keeping CSUMB’s systems operational behind the scenes—even in tight spaces and less-than-dry conditions!
