Sei un autore self italiano?
Vuoi tradurre il tuo romanzo per il mercato anglofono, ma il costo della traduzione è proibitivo?

Riflettevo di recente su come la necessità per noi traduttori di ricevere compensi adeguati per il nostro lavoro rappresenti talvolta un’involontaria barriera per quegli autori indipendenti che si trovano a doversi sobbarcare l’intero costo del lavoro di traduzione (insieme a tante altre spese come marketing, grafiche di copertina, editing, etc…) Si tratta in parte di un dilemma irrisolvibile, ma nel mio piccolo mi è rimasto un desiderio di cercare di aiutare in qualche modo questi autori le cui opere meriterebbero maggiore diffusione.
E quindi, alla fine di un anno di lavoro per me particolarmente favorevole, ho deciso di condividere un po’ della mia fortuna e offrire uno sconto FINO AL 60% per UNA traduzione di un’opera self italiana.
Purtroppo non posso permettermi al momento di offrire questo genere di prezzi in maniera sistematica, ma ogni piccola cosa è meglio che niente, e spero in futuro di poter ripetere iniziative simili.
Quindi:
Se sei un autore self che vuole tradurre il suo lavoro; non puoi onestamente permetterti (mi fido!) il costo standard della traduzione; hai un libro già pubblicato in italiano lungo fino a 400 pagine, scrivimi in privato!
Al momento posso scegliere solo una persona, ma considererò ogni singola richiesta e le terrò presenti per potenziali occasioni future!

Black&white human in a black&white room.
Over the weekend I got to take the tools of the craft to London and do my first professional DM session for a truly amazing venue which does something very dear to my heart: creating a safe space to explore fantastic worlds for those people - queer people especially - who are too often made to feel unwelcome there.
It is such an incredible privilege to share my worldbuilding and storytelling in a space like this. The power of stories is very much one of the reasons I'm still around and to be able to summon that power for others like me is an astounding gift to receive.

I usually try to keep my reviews as "clinical" as I can but every now and then there's one where you just can't keep the emotions out. This is that review. Can't quite express the total depth of how powerful some moments of @thehorrors playing in Cardiff were; this gig will stick with me for a long time. What a privilege to be there.
