One of the main reasons FPL is hanging it up is, as I’m sure you can guess, kids. FPL has given me SO much joy over the last 10 years. Sharing my music with others has been one of my greatest gifts. And now I’m so excited to start the next chapter in sharing it with my kids. Caught Finn looking in the mirror playing guitar the other day. He asked for an electric guitar for Christmas, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Looking forward to going out with a bang with all of you tomorrow night. Link for tix in my bio
Welp everybody…I have some good news and bad news. The bad news is Front Porch Lights will be going on indefinite hiatus. Plenty of factors at play but it mainly comes from us all starting new chapters in our lives and some more focus on other parts of life (aka kids n stuff). I will be making a much more sentimental post at some point in the future but right now I can’t bring myself to do it because I will most certainly be ugly crying, so I’m putting it off.

Okay, next up is my baby girl Saylor. Saylor, I’m sorry your first birthday was on Thanksgiving but you didn’t seem to mind because you are just so dang easy goin and the sweetest girl in the world. Thank you for making me a girl dad — a whole different kind of love. I didn’t know one person could be such an angel and such a monster at the same time, and I love you even more for it. My best bud turned 3 today. He gave me parenthood, the most challenging yet rewarding thing by a long shot and I can’t imagine my life without him in it. That’s all I’m gonna say because I’ll start crying if I keep going. Love you beyond words, Finnegan.
As we’re prepping to go to the hospital for Cameron to be induced for our 2nd baby, it’s this baby’s 2nd birthday today. I can’t put into words how much joy he brings to not only us but to everyone around him. Watching him grow into a little human that can run around and play and say crazy stuff I didn’t think a 2 year old knew how to say…Cameron and I couldn’t imagine a world without him and we can’t wait to see how good of a big bro he’s about to be! @cameronnstandish
