Tomorrow, the C Squared team will be joining forces with @Coreus for a 30 Mile Charity Walk in support of the Coreus Foundation.
Together with a wider group of 85 people, we will be working to complete an incredible 2,500 miles in total, roughly 6 million steps, the equivalent distance from London to Rome.
It is a strong team effort that highlights our shared commitment to supporting local communities and making a real difference to those in need!

On Wednesday, our Technical Director, Scott Davies, joined Kier’s All Stars Coast to Coast bike ride, travelling from Barnstaple to Torquay and back to Barnstaple, covering an impressive 140 miles! 🚴♂️
The ride was led by Ed Wilson as part of the Kier Foundation’s ‘Moving through May’ initiative. Since its establishment in 2012, the foundation has donated more than £3 million to charitable causes.
Ride stats: ✔️ 143.79 miles ✔️ 9:05:34 moving time ✔️ 10,761 ft elevation
The day was a huge success, with more than 17 riders from across the industry enjoying the Devon countryside, a few coffees and plenty of food to keep their legs turning.

Last week, our Technical Director, Scott Davies, attended the Somerset Chamber of Commerce breakfast networking event in Glastonbury.
The event highlighted the regeneration of the historic 19th century Bailey’s Factory, which closed in the early 1980s and once supported over 2,000 local jobs. Gemma Day of Dowlas Property Group Ltd presented the project, which focuses on conserving, reusing and regenerating the site for community benefit.
The discussions strongly reflected C Squared’s own work at Birnbeck Pier, with shared themes of heritage preservation and long term community value.
It was great to see the progress being made on both projects and the wider commitment to regeneration across the region.

This year, the C Squared team are proud to be joining forces with Coreus to take on a 30 mile charity walk in support of the Coreus Foundation.
Alongside a wider team of 85 participants, we will be working together to cover an incredible 2,500 miles in total. That is around 6 million steps, the equivalent of walking from London to Rome.
It is a real team effort and reflects our shared commitment to supporting local communities and giving back where it matters most.

This gives our stakeholders opportunity to share open and honest feedback, helping us continuously learn and improve. Following completion of our public infrastructure scheme in Plymouth we received some wonderful feedback that we’re proud to share!
🏗️ Geek alert! A rewarding week at Birnbeck Pier, where we successfully constructed the in-situ concrete sea wall defences for the Pier Master’s cottage.
The works required a complex bespoke scaffolding solution to provide a safe working platform from which we installed @mabeyhireuk ’s formwork. Our on-site team then set about installing the stainless steel reinforcement in readiness for the three concrete pours.
Now that the form work has been struck, the structure looks absolutely fantastic, a real treat for any concrete-loving eyes!

Our Kobelco suite of excavators and rollers has been fundamental to the successful delivery of our recent project at Royal Parade, Plymouth.

At C Squared, we’re always keen to embrace innovation, especially when it comes to sustainability in the built environment. Our recent work at Birnbeck Pier marked our first experience using Glapor aggregate, a lightweight material made from recycled glass and foamed into a loose-fill aggregate ideal for solid floors. It performs three essential roles at once, providing damp protection, insulation, and structural hardcore.
Working with our local producer and supplier @ty_mawrcontruction , we have incorporated this product into the construction of a new limecrete floor slab within the historic Pier Master’s Cottage - an amalgamation of both traditional and state-of-the art construction methods in one project!
It’s National Apprenticeship Week, and we’re shining a spotlight on Alfie!
Since joining C Squared in September, he’s made a strong start and continues to impress the team with his attitude and work ethic. We’re proud to have him on board and even prouder to see his progress already. Keep up the great work, Alfie.

🎉 Five Years of Jon Hendy! 🎉
Time really does fly when you’re having fun! It’s hard to believe Jon has been with C Squared for five years during which he has been pivotal to our success. Having joined the company in its infancy Jon, as our Operations Manager, has helped shape, build and develop the business into what it is today - testament to his commitment, hard work, knowledge and experience.
The fact he never goes longer than five minutes without telling a joke has also helped support our positive culture, ensuring that even during the most testing of times a laugh and a smile is not far away.
