We had the privilege of doing a residency at the CSN dance program this past month, and what a beautiful journey it has been. @csndanceprogram These students learned this piece in just six hours—six hours! Their joy, eagerness, and hard work were such a gift to witness ❤️ Thank you to Denise for bringing us in—we’re so grateful for the opportunity. And thank you to Riley @rileybmoore for being my brain outside my brain; we couldn’t have done it without you. Here’s a little sneak peek into the process.

There are moments when the body says what words never could. This is not just movement — this is release. This is the breaking point. This is everything held in for too long finally finding a way out. One figure rises with force, emotion spilling through every limb, every muscle refusing to stay silent any longer. The other remains low, grounded in the aftermath — not weak, but human. Because sometimes we are the storm… and sometimes we are the one learning how to stand after it. There is tension here, but also truth. Pain, but also power. Because even in chaos, there is transformation. Not every step forward is graceful. Not every fight is visible. Sometimes the strongest connections aren’t the ones we can clearly see. Back to back, they stand — not facing each other, yet completely bound. One reaches toward the light, open, vulnerable, breathing in something greater. The other remains in shadow, holding, grounding, carrying what cannot be seen. This is what connection can feel like. Not always aligned. Not always understood. But still present. Still real. Still powerful. We all have moments where we feel like the one reaching… searching for peace, clarity, or release.
