Welcome in the epicenter of the art world! Here: Claudia Schmuckli, Chief Curator at the De Young Museum in talk with Leiko Ikemura to dicover her work at the Lisson Gallery LA for the USA! @lisson_gallery Now open in Los Angeles: Lisson Gallery presents ‚Leiko Ikemura: Riding Horizon.‘ For her first exhibition in Los Angeles, Leiko Ikemura presents a range of works produced over the past decade that explore the relationship between the female body and the natural world; between the heavens and the horizon line, or as she describes it: „the place where two worlds come together“. Through her fantastical treatment of the landscape painting genre, entering into the realms of reflection, dreamtime and even of conflict, the artist conjures up an otherworldly utopia in which humans and nature coexist within the melting vastness between the heavens of the cosmos and the oceanic spaces below. 24 February - 28 March 2026 at 1037 N. It arrived! The „little“ book Isaac and I worked on for his show. „I Dream A World“ is entering its second life in print. Excited to hold it after so many months of waiting. So grateful to everyone who made both happen. @isaacjulien

Rose B. Simpson taking over the atrium of the de Young! LEXICON opens August 30. Join us for a daylong celebration on September 12! Big congratulations to @rosebsimpson and Hillary Olcott for persevering and getting those cars into the museum (we did have to take some windows out the facade). And to Maria for giving birth to a cruiser baby just in time for the show and welcoming her sister Bosque into the family. We promise to take good care of them all.
