At the very end of the day, we walked inside Firefly Organic Coffee & Market and ended up having one of the most inspiring conversations we’ve had in a long time. Huge gratitude to @patricksullivanjr & @theashleyleroux from @jigsaw_health / @firefly.coffee for everything they’ve done to help support and believe in us from the beginning. What’s happening right now with Schefs Farms honestly wouldn’t be possible without them. We also had the opportunity to meet former Arizona senator and fighter pilot @marthamcsally . She dropped a ton of wisdom on us about leadership, scaling a business, growth, and the next chapter ahead. Even gave us some incredible books to read. Today was one of those reminders that when you stay authentic, work hard, and build real relationships, amazing things can happen. A lot of exciting things ahead. Today, January 24, 2026 marks three years since my husband Rick & Father of our 4 children passed away. We were together for 38 years, and married for 37 years. During that time he filled our lives with love, laughter, hard work, and an unwavering devotion to family. At the time of his passing, I couldn’t bring myself to hold a service. The loss was simply too heavy, and my heart needed time. Now, with reflection and gratitude, I feel ready to share this day with those who loved Rick and to celebrate his life and the legacy he left behind. Rick was a devoted husband, a loving father, and the proudest grandfather. He had a big heart and a giving spirit, always willing to help anyone in need. To know Rick was to know kindness, humility, and generosity. He grew up a farm boy in Michigan, and that deep passion for farming and growing never left him. It became part of who he was. Rick shared that love with me and with our children, teaching us the value of hard work, patience, and caring for the land. Today, that passion lives on through us and the business we have built Schef’s Farms—an extension of Rick’s love for growing and a way to honor him while carrying forward the Scheffler family legacy of farming. Today, I invite you to take a quiet moment—in whatever way feels right to you—to remember and honor Rick. Whether it’s sharing a memory, saying a prayer, or simply thinking of him, it would mean so much to our family. Really grateful for today. Thank you @hunterr.smith and the @capital.farms crew for welcoming me in and letting me jump on the line for real hands-on training. Learned a ton, gained a lot of perspective, and left even more excited about what we’re building. Big respect. 🤝🔥

Yesterday reminded me why I care so much about ingredients. Met a brand new local vendor who just got licensed to churn real butter here in Arizona. Family-owned. Husband, wife, kid all there together. 100% real butter. No additives. No nonsense. Stored in glass. I already knew I wanted to use their butter on our smash burgers before I even finished the conversation. Then he started educating me about the butter industry… and honestly, it humbled me. I’ve been buying “grass-fed butter” thinking I was doing everything right. Reading labels. Paying attention. Being strict. And yet… I still got fooled. That hit me hard. Because if I — someone obsessive about food quality, sourcing, and labels — can still get duped… what chance does the average consumer have? That’s exactly why @schefsfarms exists. To dig deeper. To ask harder questions. To source better. To build relationships with real people making real food. As of yesterday, our smash burgers now use local, real-deal, family-made butter. Another ingredient upgraded. Another layer of integrity added. Always evolving. Always refining. Always learning. If you care about what’s actually in your food — pay attention to who you’re buying from, not just what the label says.

Yesterday I had a long conversation at the market about 11:11. Today that same friend texts me at 11:11. Minutes later I notice these receipts—both 11:11.
