Indie dance is not a trend for us itās a bridge.
A bridge between eras, between analog emotion and digital precision, between the introspection of underground waveforms and the openness of the dancefloor. What we explore this night is not a genre as a label, but as a language one that carries fragments of new wave, post-punk, and electronic body music, reinterpreted through contemporary production and curatorial intention.
At Soma Music Hub, musical direction is not incidentalit is structural. Each night is a study, a deliberate immersion into a specific sonic narrative within the broader framework of Contemporary Electronic Arts. Indie dance, in this context, becomes a field of tension: melodic yet percussive, nostalgic yet forward-facing, intimate yet expansive.
We donāt approach it as a revival.
We approach it as a reinterpretation.
Groove remains the anchor. Flow is the medium.
And the dancefloor becomes a space where contrast finds coherence.
This is not about peaks.
This is about continuity.
A disciplined curation of frequencies that allows the body to move without interruption, and the mind to recognize patterns beyond the obvious.
This night we donāt just play indie dance
we study it, stretch it, and translate it through the Soma framework.
Music before ego.
Respect before excess.
Community before self.
This week's Therapy Session, we are excited to have @c.reyesmusic and @csarrfate curate a set for us at Hello Goodbye Bar in Yaletown. See you Thursday.

EVAN ESPINOZA / JOB SALAZAR / CSARRFATE
Three artists. One direction.
Process over ego.
We start with Csarrfate (Cesar) part of the close Soma family.
He understood the assignment early:
create music, let go of ego, trust the process.
An artist in development, but with something that canāt be taught presence, patience, intention.
We believe deeply in his journey.
Job Salazar
a reflection of discipline in motion.
Balancing his path through small, consistent actions.
He evolves through awareness, not noise.
Energy control.
Ego in check.
Respect for the craft.
The way he shows up
with people, with music, with himself thatās where the difference lives.
And Evan Espinoza a complete artist. Dedication, consistency, and a deep understanding of the craft meet in his sound. Heās in a stage where creation feels natural driven by experience, guided by intuition, and expressed with freedom.
Thereās fun in what he does, but behind it, thereās structure.
This is what happens when skill
meets self-awareness.
Week 100š«. Thereās something special about playing at home. Grateful to celebrate this milestone with the @somamusichub Community and honored to keep building this journey with the team. Thanks to everyone on the dancefloor.
