CSAM-SMCA is recognizing International Overdose Awareness Day with a renewed call for the Canadian government to create an evidence-based national policy framework on treatment and prevention of substance use disorder in Canada. Policymakers must enact known solutions based on all four pillars of substance use policy: prevention, harm reduction, treatment and enforcement.
