@marijadrmr presented the experience of the
@Gender Budget Watchdog Network (GBWN) during the panel discussion “𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘄?”
Sharing insights from North Macedonia, she reflected on the role of civil society in making public finances more accountable, transparent, and gender-responsive.
In her intervention, she emphasized that 𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒖𝒅𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒔 not only about technical analysis and public expenditure monitoring, but about the everyday realities of 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆’𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔- 𝒖𝒏𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒅 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌, 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒆, 𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒅𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝒑𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒚.

The event brought together civil society organizations, experts, and international partners from across the region to exchange experiences and strengthen cooperation on gender equality, socio-economic inclusion, and combating gender-based violence.
