Op! Blamazing news! Cheffy won three more Emmys for series, editing, and directing!! My heart is so full after celebrating with this extraordinary crew 💚
I’m sorry to say that after a long decline with arthritis and disc disease, we had to say goodbye to sweet Bucky this week.
He went by many names - Bucky, the Buckster, Buckaroo, Buckmaster general, Buckingham palace, and Mr. Man. But above all of those, he was our good boy.
Bucky had separation anxiety all his life, and no amount of exposure therapy or crate training could convince him not to tear down the door if he was left alone. I like to think it’s because he knew we only had so much time together and wanted to make the most of it.
Bucky got me through my first real heartbreak, lockdown, my first solo apartment, countless first dates, and then fell as head over heels for Kitt as I did (although some deli turkey was definitely involved in that).
I will miss hearing him gently bonk into the walls. I’ll miss his howls, his groans, his cold wet nose, and watching him trot up the steps to our home. I’ll miss walking him, and being stopped on the street to answer questions about him. “Yes, he’s been blind all his life. No, he’s not a wolf. Yes, he does look like one though!”
It takes a village to raise a dog, and I want to send particular thanks to Julia, Diondra, Tom, Caitlyn, Amanda, my parents, his friends at the wag hotel, and anyone else who ever stayed with him or gave him love. ❤️
Rest in peace sweet boy, we love you.
