In Part 2 of the C6 Corvette motor build, we’re diving into the valvetrain to be sure our piston to valve clearance is good. Since we’ve swapped to a new camshaft profile and custom pistons, checking clearances is non-negotiable. The LSR block is coming together beautifully and the clearances are exactly where we want them. This thing is going to be a monster!

That’s a wrap on a very nice, all aluminum BBC, 598 cubic inches: Dart block and heads, Crower crank/rods/cam/lifters/rockers, Hogan intake, jones racing front, Dailey engineering dry sump, RCD gear drive. It’s crated up and headed out to Iceland tomorrow, it will be powering a Formula Offroad car this coming season. Oh yeah, fueled by Boostane!
