i have some BIG news.. swipe or read below 👇🏻
after almost 10 years living in colchester, i’m moving out of the city.. which means my studio will be relocating 🥲 (benji & the doggos are coming too!)
this small but mighty space has seen me grow my business (and self-confidence) far beyond what i once thought possible. it has genuinely been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
i wont be moving far - in fact, it might be easier to get to my new space when it’s all set up.. 👀
all being well, from june, @croucherli will be based in capel st mary, suffolk! just a few minutes off the A12, between colchester & ipswich 🙌🏻 public & bespoke workshops will certainly continue in colchester, and i’ll be branching into suffolk too.
i’ll need some time to pack up, move & set up my new space, so studio classes will pause end of april, public workshops & shop drops will pause in may.
there’s a lot to plan (and build..!) but as soon as it’s ready, i’ll be opening the new studio for classes & making new work again.
thank you SO much for your support, and advance thanks for your patience as we navigate this exciting (and stressful!) new chapter in life ♥️
lots of love,
lizzie x

✨2026 workshops so far: the stats ✨
with a break in teaching on the horizon while i move & build a new studio, i’ve taken a look back at the classes & workshops i’ve led so far this year. unbelievably, i’ve almost surpassed the total amount of sessions i taught in 2025, just 5 months into 2026 🥲
so far this year i’ve taught..
- 31 public & community workshops
- 37 studio sessions
- 6 private classes
- over 200 participants
.. and over 500 creations made 🥹
a huge thanks to those of you who’ve joined me to get creative with clay 💕
i’ll be without a studio for much of the summer, but i’ll be putting on some air dry clay workshops in july & august for those who still want some pottery playtime! details coming soon ☀️
as we approach june, my studio has become more of a storage space than a working space 😅 full of creations to be collected, final stock to be sold, and all of my equipment waiting to be packed away. this studio has been the backbone of my business over the last 5 years - i’m so grateful to have called this space my own, and i can’t wait to see what the next space brings 🥹
in case you missed it - we’ll be building my new studi in the garden of our new home! a challenge for sure, but looking forward to working out of a space that was built with my own two hands 🫶🏻

visual description: lizzie’s studio - it has purple walls, with shelves full of plastic crates & bags of clay. to the left, a large wooden table with crates & boxes stacked on it, and a pottery wheel next to it. light is coming in through four small windows at the back of the studio.
lately my kiln firings have been mostly creations from classes & workshops - it brightens my day every time i unload it, to see what can be made in just a couple of hours by (mostly) complete beginners to clay 🥹

i can’t thank you enough for wanting to learn the ways of clay, and trusting me to guide you! i might be winding down to relocate, but i’m already looking forward to getting back to teaching once i’m settled in suffolk 🥰
i’ve always loved leading clay workshops at @love.local - but with the new changes to the space, i love them even more! 😍 doors to connect the spaces not only lets beautiful natural light in, it allows the sense of community & connection to flow fully!
had a wonderful morning making mugs with a room full of friendly faces - one of my last workshops before moving to suffolk. don’t worry, workshops will still happen in colchester & at love local, but i’ll be expanding ipswich way too once i’m settled 🙌🏻

i’m here, i promise - i’ve just been in a bit of a clay workshop whirlwind 🫠 (swipe to the end for a cute surprise)
with the house move coming up in a month(ish) i’ve been squeezing in as much teaching as i can, in anticipation for taking a few months off to build the new studio.
i love nothing more than seeing people of all ages & experience getting stuck into making with clay. it makes my heart happy (but my body & brain exhausted - guess that’s the price i pay for doing a job i love ♥️)
a reminder too, that i have a few new ceramics available on my shop - 🙌🏻
a brand new batch of ceramics just dropped into my online shop 🌷 probably my last online drop before moving, so nab your favourite pieces while you can! 🫶🏻
