It’s a simple concept…to keep upright. But, against the onslaught of incredible adversity and sadness we find the desire to give up so intensely. The idea, to me, is not one of idealized strength and overbearing will. Rather, the stay…to stand…has been to humble myself to hope. To release the ego of my intrusive thoughts and to just accept that there is going to be more. And here I am, here we are: Still Standing.
