A look into how William uses Cronometer day to day. In this clip from Project Remission, William walks through one of his go-to meals: a cucumber boat made with chicken salad and cucumber instead of bread. For William, logging meals helps make nutrition easier to understand and stay consistent with, as part of his journey staying in remission from type 2 diabetes. Lets talk paleo poop. Most people are massively under-eating fiber. Our ancestors were getting over 100g a day. Today, most people don’t even hit the minimum. Dr. Michael Greger @nutrition_facts_org breaks down why fiber is essential for: – gut health – inflammation – brain health – appetite regulation And where it generally comes from: whole plant foods. Watch the full episode of Discovering Nutrition: “Unlocking the Secrets of Longevity with Dr. Michael Greger” on YouTube or listen on Spotify & Apple Podcasts.

Let’s talk poop. You can learn a surprising amount about your health from the colour and consistency of your stool. When digestion is off, it can sometimes point to patterns worth paying attention to, like changes in fiber, hydration, specific foods or other biometrics. With Cronometer, you can log stool as a biometric using the Bristol Stool Scale, then view your trends over time alongside your nutrition. Try it out in Cronometer and dive into your Charts to start spotting patterns.

What I eat in a day as a 50 year old woman in menopause trying to lose fat and maintain muscle. I find when I “eat healthy” and just wing my nutrition plan, its easy to overconsume and not realize it. Weighing your food and tracking it in a free app like @cronometer_official shows you the data so you can see where you may be under (or for me) over eating. If you want me to send you the scale or the tracking app I use, comment “MACRO”.

Thank you to @Kmcbride222 for sending this recipe my way and @elizabethvanlierde for creating this absolute banger of a ramen bowl 🍜 Recipes can feel really daunting to track. So this is part one of breaking down how to make tracking “fun foods” a little easier. The big takeaway from this video: Separate the base recipe from the protein. If your noodles + sauce are split a little unevenly between bowls, it’s not going to make or break your data. But the protein? That’s the piece we want to account for more accurately. So instead of building one giant recipe that includes the ramen base, eggs, pork, etc., you can: 👉 import the recipe 👉 clean up the ingredients 👉 remove the added protein 👉 create a recipe for the base noodles + broth 👉 then log the exact protein you add to your own bowl This keeps things more accurate, especially when you’re cooking for multiple people and everyone’s bowl looks a little different. The goal here is to get accurate *enough*, not obsess over +/- five calories. If you have a recipe or meal you want me to break down for part two, send me a DM. And if you want more tips on using Cronometer to make tracking easier, comment TIPS and I’m happy to share them. 💚 Laura #elevatedpursuitnutrition #cronometer #trackingtips #macros #ramen
