This is the recap of the very first Croatia Lambada Marathon. When we announced it last year, many people thought the idea was crazy. A marathon with no workshops only dancing artists present just to dance and everything outdoors by the sea. But something magical happened. Lambada found a place where rhythm and friendship truly meet. 🎶 And if you listen carefully while watching, the lyrics of the song will quietly guide you through the story of the week… almost scene by scene. 🌴 From Guido Zoukeiro… to Guido Lambadeiro 😄 Lambada has actually been part of my dance journey since the very beginning. Back when I started Zouk in 2010, everything was still much more connected. But honestly… I did not pay enough attention to Lambada back then. Until a few years ago when I suddenly realized: damn… I really love this dance. I still remember dancing Lambada at a festival with tears in my eyes thinking: “I wish I had people to train this with in Vienna.” So I made a decision to focus on Lamabda and step by step started building confidence and understanding in the dance. And this year I’ll teach at the Croatia Intensive Lambada Camp in Tisno 🌊 Not because I think I know everything — but because I went through this process myself quite recently and know how much easier things become when somebody explains them clearly.
