🎶 Last weekend, CRK's third annual Waterfest brought the community together for a day of live music and environmental education!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors and supporters, we raised $20,000 to sustain CRK's water conservation and education initiatives in the Chattahoochee headwaters region.
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us at @cummingcitycenter and all the artists, sponsors, and exhibitors whose hard work and support made the event a success. See y'all again at next year's Waterfest! đź’§

Proud team alert 🥹 Congratulations to CRK’s own Madison Gordon for earning her master’s degree from @georgiastateuniversity ! Madison is now in her second year as CRK’s Margie Cohen Fellow, where she works in the lab and field to protect water quality in the river and its creeks.
Her master’s thesis focuses on environmental microbiology, antibiotic resistance, and water quality in the Chattahoochee River basin. She’s particularly interested in the role of natural plant-derived compounds as sustainable alternatives to pharmaceutical antibiotics for mitigating microbial contamination in urban watersheds.
Congratulations, Madison! We’re so proud of all you’ve accomplished. 🌟
Come on out and join CRK for some free, family-friendly fun this Saturday!
Waterfest at the @cummingcitycenter is a celebration of our mission to protect Lake Lanier and the Chattahoochee River. It’s also a reminder that this work is only possible with the support of our community, fellow organizations, and local businesses.
Enjoy some tunes and stop by our Environmental Expo to learn about all the great work being done in the Headwaters region!

Chattahoochee Riverkeeper may never have existed without the foundational support of Ted Turner. His commitment to the stewardship of our natural resources was unparalleled, transforming the river and so much of our planet for the better. We are deeply saddened by his passing and extend our sincere condolences to his family and all who have been touched by his legacy.

It’s been one week since we installed our second floating wetland trash trap in the Chattahoochee River watershed! Thanks to @chamblee.ga and the support of @coxenterprises , this new device is already catching trash and improving water quality on a tributary to Nancy Creek at Huntley Hills Park.
