Epoxy LED table. I’m pretty ok with it, i think.

It’s not exactly a 4 star line, but I’ll gladly take the points. 👍

Every once in a while I get an irresistible yearning to build a hangboard. 🤷‍♂️

Making ye olde hangboards again. 🤷‍♂️

Just a few pics from backpacking the enchantments :). Felt a bit weird to travel and not climb all the rocks, but the views helped distract me from the boulders.

Homewall upgrade “fancy lights” complete! (Unless I add a climb name display).

In honor of tramway being, well, melted again, I figured I would post my first attempt at a “high point” day at tram from last year. It’s pretty fun. It forces you to try a lot of moderates and is a nice mental break from the DO THE PROJECT mindset you can fall into bouldering. Anyway, 56 points. Will probably shoot for 75 or so this year.

When the random boulder bros show up to provide color commentary whilst you send your project…Strawberry Contraceptives, v7, old school beta. “Fkn, the heels never come off in a solution!” Magic words, apparently. (He wasn’t referring to me)

The 2021 summer project, Blue Flame, Tramway, v7 (couple weeks ago). The breakthrough beta: wait until later in the afternoon when there is shade so you can actually look at the crimp you are firing for. Mind blowing, right?

And part two of the covid projects: the furniture (and furniture like things). 1- my coffee table. Figured a river table would be an interesting challenge. This was a mistake, because now I’m addicted. 2- hang board 1.0, because, of course I’m making a hang board, 3- hang board 2.0, 4-a star tracker made unnecessarily out of walnut, 5- “ocean shelves”, 6 my night stand... my first foray into cabinet making since I was probably 15, 7- the “fund raiser” coffee table, 8 - charcuterie boards, 9- hang board 3.0 with wall extension because someone’s house is stupid, 10- my new bar stool tops. Think I got everything major 🤔.

I’ve been meaning to make a consolidated “covid-year projects post”, so here is part one: the garage to home gym transformation. Thanks to @elijahflow for convincing me to stop just talking about it and do it, and also his considerable help with the (two afternoon) construction of the thing... way back last April when we thought we would only be using it for a few months. Formerly a spot where I haphazardly threw my pads and stored anglerfish costumes, the gym now features over 20 climbs with multiple climbs by guest setters (with one “experience”), one uh, sport route, the famous rolly-bar (and corresponding leader board), a “100s challenge bar” (I finally broke 100s!), and the worlds best boulder grading system. It does not, however, have an official name yet, so I’m open to suggestions. Also huge thanks to @connie_climbs and family for the used extra pads which substantially reduce fear generated on the right side of the wall.
