A pre-owned lifejacket can be a great way to save money but only if it’s safe, serviceable, and suitable for your activity on the water.
Before you click “Buy Now”, make sure you:
✔️ Check for rips, tears, damaged webbing or broken buckles
✔️ Ask for clear photos of the inflation system, cylinder and capsule
✔️ Confirm whether it’s manual or automatic inflation
✔️ Check if it has a recent service history
✔️ Look for signs of rust, mould or corrosion
✔️ Ensure the buoyancy rating matches your needs
Remember: if there’s no proof of servicing, book it in before use and factor that cost into your budget.

The incredible @lbryonedmond was the youngest person in the world to successfully receive a liver transplant in August 2011. Since then, she has been raising funds and awareness of the importance of all of us being on the organ donor register so that more lives like hers can be saved.
In the summer of 2024, she embarked on her latest fundraising challenge, sailing 70 miles per day for 7 days to highlight the 7000 people currently desperately waiting for a transplant.
Thanks to Lottie, and with help from the Hospital Charity and the League of Friends an amazing £21,000 was raised. Now a permanent, beautiful Sea Grass memorial has been installed at Torbay Hospital to salute organ donors and their families.
"We just wanted to say a massive thank you to Crewsaver for the support given to us. Lottie was honoured to cut the ribbon and read a poem at the memorial unveiling. That honour extends to everyone who has played their part in getting this memorial in place after so much hard work, and we as a family would therefore once again just like to send a massive thank you to everyone at Crewsaver." Vanessa spent 24hrs completely silent to support @cr_uk ! 🤐
The lovely Production Operative at Crewsaver is the resident chatterbox so taking on this challenge was going to be a tough one! Vanessa needed to even use notepads and sticky notes to get her through the day but she absolutely smashed it! In fact, she managed to raise an incredible £415 💕✨
