About a week ago,
@crestonpridegr came into fruition after months of planning, community organizing, and dedication. I was privileged to be a part of the planning process for this event in my neighborhood. It's wild to think that
@daniel.p.drent came to me with the question, "What if..." and then we went to work.
Thank you,
@envivochurch for trusting my leadership and Daniel for holding most of the pieces together for the committee. I want to thank Greg and the
@crestongr for supporting the vision with time and energy. Similarly, thank you to Kelsey, the
@bestincreston and the North Quarter for its investment in this event.
I also am so grateful for the sense of community that was represented on the stage. Thank you so much for saying yes to doing this event with me:
@vscott333 ,
@queenalexsuarez , @
@jeena.doucure ,
@deedeechaunte ,
@gleason.edward ,
@derewelch ,
@itsshaynamarie ,
@tommyallen , and the Grand Rapids Freedom Band. Words can not express my gratitude.
To the parents / guardians who brought their children to story time and the adults who simply wanted to hear a story, thank you for participating with all the dancing and story time fun. I love reading, and drag queen story hour is one of my favorite things!
To Creston as a whole, the best is yet to come. Until then, let's keep it funky.
