one of two pieces i did for a splatoon oc zine i'm hosting between friends! makomart is one of my favorite stages in splatoon, and was what inspired me to make ocs in the first place... so consider this piece a tribute to it...!
also... everyone say hi to shades in the back... shades belongs to yen (@/nikkoyen)! (in some ways this illustration can be considered the start point of minatoast and sydney's stories...)

this is my magnum opus in art, i think. probably my favorite piece ever, so i'm really happy to be reuploading this one today. the final boss fight in persona 3 is my favorite of all-time so i dedicated my heart into making this illustration... it's all about the culmination of the games themes all leading to this moment and also the music is a banger. god. im so normal about this game. and i would also be a very happy person if i could draw like this again LMAOO

happy march 5th! it's my third year drawing for this day... some thoughts about p3 that came up while working on the piece below! (spoiler warning...)
i decided to take a ryominaigis lens with this piece to try and highlight some aspects about minato's character that i like (mostly in regards to his choice to sacrifice himself and how ryoji/death has been a pivotal part of his life). i had a lot of fun working on this and i think my art has progressed nicely in the past three years :D !!! yipee!!!

and that's a wrap for plein airpril!!! it was a lot of fun painting this on stream today. observing the world is so so fun and i will definitely continue to do photo studies. cheers to next year being the year i do some paintings in-person / in-real time!

panna cotta for day 17 of #PleinAirpril!
THE TOMODACHI LIFE GRIP IS FINALLY LESSENING... so i finally had the capacity to make another painting for plein airpril!
i haven't gotten to try panna cotta yet (this is based on a friend's photo), but what i do know is that this makes me want to study plating... that too is a form of composition and artistry...!!!
tomorrow will be the last day of april- and i'm excited to stream the last painting on twitch for day 18. thank you all for joining me on this journey so far!!! the paintings i've done were very fun and rewarding and i wouldn't trade it for anything ^_^

ryomina nui playing tomodachi life for day 16 of #PleinAirpril!
tomodachi life has taken over my life 😭 i feel like it derailed plein airpril in two ways...
1. instead of practicing my lighting i am playing blorbo simulator, and
2. now i want to draw my blorbos again...
because of this, i don't know if i will be making any more plein air paintings for 2026...
but honestly? i'm OK with that outcome. the paintings i did make were worthwhile experiences, and i learned a lot from that process! i feel a lot more confident about future studies. and that's the best thing i could ask for! priorities may change, but learning is forever 💙 thank you plein airpril!

injured mantis friend for day 14 of #PleinAirpril!
its the second week mark!!! my friend sent me some mantis photos and i thought it'd be a fun opportunity to learn more about them! i got to learn about the anatomy of a mantis and how compound eyes work...
with tomodachi life on the horizon, im not sure how consistent i'll be from here on out?! but i'd like to at least have 20 paintings by the end of the month!!!
