Who doesn’t love covering the bench in deer hair..
Black and purple slider for the flood tide game. Built to ride light, push a little water, and stay visible when reds are up in the grass hunting shrimp and crabs. That deer hair head gives it just enough buoyancy and presence, while the profile and movement keep it looking alive without overdoing it.

The Cray Craw.
These were a blast to tie. That color pop in natural light feels alive — the kind of fly that just looks like it’s destined to get eaten.
The idea came from old childhood photos and memories…Wading small creeks, flipping rocks for craws, then using them to catch bass that felt way bigger than they probably were. Same colorway I’ve trusted in conventional jigs for years — just translated into fur, rubber, and movement.
Been tying a lot lately with the @flatscraft claws and I’m starting to think I stumbled onto a secret weapon. Sometimes the best patterns aren’t invented — they’re remembered.
