Our KLANG:konductor and KLANG:kontrollers out for Impossible Conference 2024!
A DiGiCo Quantum 5 was used in conjunction with the KLANG system, with the KLANG DiGiCo integration allowing for full control of the 9 in ear vocalist mixes directly from the console. 7 Kontrollers were on stage for the musicians to control their own mixes.
DiGiCo and KLANG were chosen by the monitor engineer for the tight integration between devices and allowed for quick and easy control of the over 80 channels of inputs and 16 klang mixes, while the 3D mixing capabilities allowed for every input to be spaced out, decluttering the mix for all on stage and leading to cleaner and clearer mixes for everyone.

Behind the in ears of Doxology during the final day of Impossible Conference 2024, showcasing KLANG:konductor and DiGiCo's KLANG integration on a Quantum 5 console, taking a engineer's mix.
Using KLANG has allowed me to create even more space in the in ears, placing sources in a 3D plane, as opposed to just stereo. Despite having over 70 channels, every input had its place, making the mix less cluttered, more clear, and allowing singers and musicians to focus on their playing as opposed to worrying about how messy their in ears aound.
With the flexibility of the system, I am able to fully concentrate on the singer's ears, while the band could mix themslves on their KLANG:kontrollers receiving a combination 24 mono and stereo mix outputs from the Quantum 5.
The space provided by its 3D capabilities and flexibility of the system is why I have continued to use KLANG whenever possible on every major Impossible/FOPx event and conference since 2019!

KLANG has been an important part of my career, and it’s great to be able show how much better 3D is for in ear monitoring that traditional stereo mixes.
