I often feel the fear as a sensitive business owner. Those knocks feel harder, the rejection and fear of how something lands leaves more of a lasting mark.
Launching your business or something new is never as simple as hitting “publish" or "send" and then the offers come rolling in. Usually, it takes an immense amount of trust, belief and patience too (those instant overnight successes we are shown rarely show the truth I find!).
As I've been bringing my Signature Brand Kit idea to life, there have been many moments of self-doubt. In these moments, along with mindful walks in nature, one thing roots me and brings me back to my inner business strength.

I am loving just heading out and drawing when I feel the urge. After discovering charcoal at life drawing I’m now obsessed! I always find pencil doesn’t work for me but charcoal seems to fit and feel expressive, raw, messy, bold and powerful. Sometimes you just have to find the right medium ✌🏻 also forever obsessed with drawing old gnarled trees

I’m realising I built a business that doesn’t quite fit me anymore. 🌿
It looks like it works on the outside clients, projects, income but inside, something has felt quietly off for a long time.
After years of pushing through, my body and energy are finally speaking, and I’m learning to listen. Some work feels heavy… some work feels light and easeful.
I’m still figuring it out, but letting go a little feels like it could be the first step toward something that truly fits.

Musing from a little trip to Portugal and seeing how much nicer it is walking around little towns with small independent shops full of local ingredients and crafted items.
It made me sad to see how much of this has been lost in the uk and sold off to developers and massive corporations.
It also made me see how much I need community. I need handcrafted and local. I need independent.
