We’re incredibly excited to announce the CTN Foundation is a proud Community Partner of the first of it's kind event in our back yard. "Animated! Live Master Class", Los Angeles—is a 2-day epic experience hosted by award winning director and filmmaker Aaron Blaise, alongside an incredible lineup of distinguished guest artists May 23-24, 2026.
Our collaboration reflects what we as a community care deeply about—bringing artists together, supporting growth, and creating meaningful access to learning from some of the most respected voices in our industry. We’re especially proud to support Aaron as part of our extended CTN community, and to stand alongside such a prestigious group of creatives shaping the future of animation.
As part of our partnership, we’re excited they will offer $50 off each ticket to our community.
The code 'CTN-special' will be automatically applied when registering using the link: https://bit.ly/4cxdm2K
"This isn’t a conference. It’s a masterclass. Two days. One stage. A complete, start-to-finish look at how animated films are made — from story and design to sound, post, and distribution."
We hope to see many of you there—learning, connecting, as we continue to build our future and grow together.

“No Artist Left Behind”
I have a very special history with Linda shared through a an extremely unique time at Disney. I am honored and excited to see her again soon and introduce her to you.
COMMUNITY: Join us at CTN Studio for an intimate, off-the-grid Coffee Talk with storyteller, filmmaker, and mentor Linda Bel and special invited guests —a gathering centered on the real, evolving path and options available for an artist in our community.
Together, we’ll explore:
What it means to trust your own timing
How to take the next step even when the path isn’t clear
The power of creating your own opportunities
Why “just doing it” can change everything
Bring something that reflects where you are—a sketch, your film, a thought, a roadmap of your journey, or simply your presence. Those moments when YOU make the choice to move forward—when no one is watching or tells you to do it are the most empowering moments.
Lunch will be shared. Stories will unfold. New friends are found and favorite conversations happen in the CTN Studio where you may find your next step.
Limited seating. Intimate setting. Your journey is welcome.
Thank you for supporting our mission, your support is invaluable.

"To me, a great animator is able to express the living experience in compelling and unassuming ways, with sincerity, honesty, conviction and inventiveness, avoid highlighting the technical expertise and rather engage the viewers directly into the emotional intent of the performance." ~Mike Nguyen, Master

Bon Voyage Gathering for Animator Andreas Wessel-Therhorn
At CTN Studio
When you work together in this community as long as many of us have, something special happens — colleagues become friends, and friends become family.
Our friend and fellow animator Andreas Wessel-Therhorn is beginning a new chapter in London, and before he goes, we’d love to gather together to wish him a heartfelt Bon Voyage.
In true CTN fashion, Bon Voyage postcards will be available for you to draw, sketch, and write a personal message. These little works of art and notes of encouragement will travel with Andreas as a reminder of the incredible community cheering him on.
Come by, enjoy some food and drinks, leave a drawing, and help us give Andreas a heartfelt send-off as he embarks on this next adventure.

Some programs include creative assignments you can get a head start on right now. Best of luck and stay tuned for more scholarship programs to come!"
"I don’t even know where to start! I would say this whole opportunity of a one on one mentorship is the best thing I could have asked for in terms of guidance and artistic growth. I really admired how Torsten’s drawings are always so full of character and life, and being able to hear his mindset on how he gets into character and hearing his process on Klaus was amazing." ~Catherine Guo, Character Designer Full Torsten Schrank Scholarship Awardee 2025
"One of the most valuable lessons I learned, and one I will carry with me always, is to slow down and allow myself to fully indulge in my curiosities. We are naturally drawn to things that already live within us. The more we explore those curiosities, the closer we come to understanding ourselves. ." ~Edith Adame, Animator Full ICEP Scholarship Awardee 2025
"I never used to love this because it felt like my mistakes were being highlighted but one of my favourite FAVOURITE things about our scholarship sessions is when Mike drew over the content I did as homework. He’s like a chiropractor for line energy- adjusting for max performance." ~Roxy Blazey Summers, Storyboard Artist Full Mike Kunkel Scholarship Awardee 2025

At this time of year, it is a joy to pause and thank the many people in our life. From all of us, to all of you, we appreciate you, we see you and we wish you the best this holiday season wrapped in an understanding that 2026 is the year, the one that is going to be the greatest year of your life. It's time!!
“My final two cents worth of advice is to develop an all-consuming curiosity for things both exotic and ordinary. Read, observe, analyze, and become involved with a variety of interests. Study, practice, delve, probe, investigate, and above all, be flexible. Keep an open mind. The world is changing fast. Don't get caught in the corner of the ring."
- Ward Kimball Legendary Animator Walt Disney Studios
WOW - Be open to the magic .... sometimes things are not always as they appear. We got this….Cheers!!
