For over a decade, Creative Space Beirut has redefined fashion education under the vision of designer and educator Sarah Hermez, offering free, high-quality training to talented youth who would otherwise be excluded. What began as a small experiment merging creativity with social justice has grown into a community that nurtures new voices.

Our full-time, entirely free fashion design program supports aspiring designers aged 18 to 25, offering a real community where your story, your voice, and your creativity matter. Students learn through hands-on courses, mentorship, and industry collaborations.

يقدّم برنامج تصميم الأزياء الكامل والمجاني فرصة لدعم المصممين الشباب بين عمر 18 و25 عامًا، ضمن مجتمع متماسك تُقدَّر فيه القصص الفردية والاصوات الفريدة وأشكال مختلفة من الإبداع. خلال البرنامج، يستفيد الطلاب من الدروس التطبيقية، والإرشاد، والتعاون مع العاملين في القطاع.

✂️CSB JURY DAYS: At the end of January, marking the close of the first semester, our first, second, and third-year students presented their work to review panels composed of CSB community. The panels included instructors and alumni who are deeply familiar with the students’ work and development: @nourdaher , @rayakazoun , @tarekmoukaddem , @rouba.g , @ahmedamerofficial , @itsanicxrn , @amir_alkasm , @sarkisassadourian , and @ahmadabdullatifofficial
Jury days are meaningful moments for the students - full of jitters and anticipation. They are also a crucial part of the learning process, giving students the opportunity to clearly communicate their ideas, reflect on their progress, and grow through critique.

Beirut-based design house @ratdhotel invited our students to design and produce tactile objects that respond to touch, pressure, and scent for Wonderfarts, an exhibition at our neighborhood’s @takeover.beirut
The brief was simple: each object had to respond to touch or pressure, and include an element of scent. The students experimented with softness, resistance, protection, and release through punching bags, cushions, poufs, soft figures, and small ritual objects, exploring form, stuffing, stitching, scale, and scent.

Constructing a Classic Tailored Suit: Second-year students model their own tailored suits!
The students’ second year at CSB is where craftsmanship really comes into focus. The curriculum advances into more complex design techniques, with an emphasis on material exploration, refined construction methods, and design innovation.
In their Patternmaking III and Construction III: Tailoring course led by @sarkisassadourian , students dive into the world of classic suit-making, learning how to move between draping, flat pattern drafting, and technical construction. Over the course of the semester, they progress from a 5-piece jacket toile to a full double-breasted jacket, and finally tailored trousers to complete a two-piece suit.

Eleven students and alumni work with scent and touch, creating objects that extend beyond form. Pieces filled with dried flowers, fabrics soaked in essential oils, and surfaces designed to draw the body closer. An open invitation to escape.
Part 1 began on March 1st, only to be interrupted almost immediately by yet another war.
