April was full to the brim! Senior year deadlines & writing deadlines came at the same time 😵💫, and thankfully all has worked itself out. 😊 Still trying to catch up on sleep but every moment has been worth it.

I love writing in hotel lobbies when the seats are comfy and it’s not crazy busy. Today, that was at @thememphianhotel . And since they have a cafe - @complicated.pilgrim - it’s pretty much the best of both worlds.

March Mayhem: Portrait Mode
This month was a rollercoaster so TW that some of the later slides may not be easy to read or watch. But they made up my March. Scroll as needed.
1. My favorite group photo from @shellyshel4 ’s bday winery tour. Good people. Good vibes. Good wine. Couldn’t have asked for a better time. 💗🍷
2. Sliding at @poncecityroof w/ the boys 🛝
3. The Cacio e Pepe 🍕 from @pizzajeansatl OMG! 🤤
4. Skyline’s photobooth 📸
5-7. Cousin love! ❤️
8. The ruby tint 🕶️
9. A poem that came pouring out on a night when new information reframed pretty much my entire life in a way that was devastating, disgusting and destabilizing. These words made me feel better once they were out of my throat and on the page. ✍🏾
10-12. Baking & decorating cookies also helped. 🍪
13. A portion of my thoughts the day after. *Language warning*⚠️
14. The pool view from my room 😍
15. Cake for breakfast 🍰
16. A fire pit to cap off the weekend. 🔥

March Moments: Landscape Edition
1. Playwright cohort at @lonetreelive . ✍🏾 Got to take in (and pour into) the beginnings of some really funny, fantastical, poignant, sobering, absurdist, wildly entertaining stories. And deeply appreciative of their feedback on mine.
2. Weekend trip to ATL so Stevie could visit with one of his summer stem program friends. Seeing them light up to be in the same city again was the best.
3. My Papa. So forever grateful for his love in word and deed. Gonna have this printed to keep these words close. ♥️
4. Marble girl. In a moment of rest.
5. My 2nd favorite shot from our winery weekend. We all had a blast! 🍷

A trip to set for S2 of @ballardonprime is sending me home with a jolt of some much needed energy, motivation, and optimism. It was a timely delight! 🎬💛

February was here and gone in a blink. It was a month of connection and affection (of a variety, tho none more precious than the unconditional kind given by 🐶.) It gifted me good eats, great conversation, stirring musical theatre (even when *deeply* triggering), and a ton of nostalgia that made me feel like a kid again. 🤗♥️

All my love to every Black person in that room, and especially the two men on stage who had to hold their composure in the moment. This is a hard one to navigate. I do believe in accessibility, but not at the expense of our humanity. So there needs to be a more comprehensive plan moving forward.

In some ways I’ve eased into this year. In other ways, it launched full throttle. In either case, January was filled with family, theatre, old friends & new, lively conversations over really good coffee, and being in spaces where art, learning, self-expression and growth abounds. May it set the tone for the months to come.
