Hi friends.
I think it’s time for me to make a decision.
First, recently, packages sent to some European countries have started returning without explanation. I can't afford sending them twice at my own expense, therefore I decide not to send books to Europe anymore. Shipping costs have more than doubled in the last four years, and will increase again from March 10th.
Let me explain.
When you buy a book for $60, I get $25, and the rest of money is shipping cost ($25) and 2 different Boosty taxes ($10). When the parcel returns from customs in the country of destination without explanation, I have to pay at the post office to receive it back ($22, don't ask me why, this is the rule of Russian mail). And no one refunds me the money I spent for shipping! Then I have to send another package for $25.
This is if there was one book in a package. And what if there were four?
So, I decide to sell books to Europe in PDF format only.
And the second thing I want to say.
I've almost finished working on the new book called "Deep Blue Sea". Unfortunately, my financial circumstances do not allow me to print this book and sell paper copies.
So, it will only be sold in PDF format.

But I have bad news for Americans: I can’t send parcels to the United States anymore.
Here is the information from Russian Post website:
26.08.2025.
The US Government’s decree «Elimination of de minimis benefits for all countries» suspends the duty-free regime and introduces import duties on mail containing goods from August 29, 2025. The restriction does not apply to written correspondence. The procedure for payment of duties in the US Customs remains unclear. As a result, all air carriers have stopped delivering mail with merchandise to the United States. Russian Post temporarily suspends the reception of shipments with goods in the USA from August 26, 2025.
(Указ правительства США «Отмена льгот de minimis для почтовых отправлений для всех стран» приостанавливает действие беспошлинного режима и вводит ввозные пошлины на почтовые отправления, содержащие товары, с 29 августа 2025 года. Ограничение не касается письменной корреспонденции. Процедура уплаты пошлин в Таможенной службе США пока остается неясной. В этой связи все авиаперевозчики прекратили доставку почтовых отправлений с товарными вложениями в США. Почта России, не имея возможности осуществлять авиадоставку по этому маршруту, временно приостанавливает прием отправлений с товарами в США с 26 августа 2025 г.)

Work on the mermaid’s book is in full swing! I suppose here will be more illustrations than usual, and I have a thought of a hard binding without spiral, but I'm not sure. The real issue here is the cost of publication.
The style, as you have already guessed, will be different from my usual realism. The format of the illustrations turns out absolutely different: square, rectangular horizontal/ vertical and even oval. You see, I have hugeness of plans 😊.
So what do you think? Do you need a book like this?
